Dog Parks in San Marcos

There are several dog parks in San Marcos that will make both you and your furry friend happy. They are a great place for your pet to get some exercise and socialization and to meet like-minded neighbors in your community. Please remember most dog parks have such rules as keeping dogs on a leash outside of the designated off-leash areas, cleaning up after your pet and supervising them at all times. Have a paw-fectly good time!

San Elijo Hills Dog Park

The park is located within San Elijo Hills Park and features separate areas for dogs, one for small dogs and another for larger dogs. The park has a fenced-in area for playtime with plenty of space for them to run around, socialize with other dogs and for you to throw a ball. There are benches, shaded areas and water fountains for both dogs and humans. There are also waste disposal stations, so you can easily clean up after your pup. Since it is within San Elijo Hills Park there are additional amenities such as a playground, sports fields and hiking trails.

Hollandia Park

Hollandia Dog Park is a popular destination for dog owners in the area. The park is located within Hollandia Park and features a fenced-in area for dogs to play with plenty of space for them to run around and hang out with their canine colleagues. It has both small and large dog areas with benches, water fountains and shade trees. There are picnic areas, basketball courts and playgrounds nearby.

Las Posas Park

Las Posas Dog Park features a good-sized fenced-in area for dogs to play with separation between big and small dogs. In the area are benches, water fountains, waste disposal stations, sports fields, playgrounds and picnic areas – a destination for everyone to play!
