Fleet Week

Are you Going to Fleet Week San Diego November 9-15, 2020?

From its official website “Fleet Week San Diego was created by community and business leaders who understood the great depth of public support for our Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen. This group sought to provide a means for San Diego to express its support in a way that would establish San Diego as a patriotic, pro-military city. They shared a vision to recognize the contributions made by the naval services to the many communities of the greater San Diego region.” Although this year may not offer as many activities as in the past, there is still so much to do for the whole family in person and virtually! Here are a few of this year’s highlights.

LIVE

Boat Parade On Wednesday, November 11, the boat parade will sail through the San Diego Harbor honoring the men and women of the military past and present.

Fun Run Although being touted as a virtual event, participants will still run, but in their own desired location with the people they are closest too.

Drive-In Movie Night On November 14 in the Petco Park parking lot, drive on in for a fun-filled and socially distanced night of family entertainment.

VIRTUAL

Virtual Innovation Zone Exhibitors will present simulated booths inside the Pavilion at the Broadway Pier where they will demonstrate the use of cutting-edge technology in their products or services.

Virtual STEM Day Featuring a combination of STEM and high-tech focused displays geared specifically to students, kids will experience drones, virtual reality and other content focused on new and emerging technologies.
