July 4th Activities Around San Diego

Fourth of July is the ultimate summer celebration, and San Diego’s participation is strong from parades to fireworks. Throughout the city and its outskirts, the sky will be lit with an extravaganza of fireworks shows for the family to enjoy. This list of Fourth activities will help you plan a memorable outing! Fireworks

Considered Southern California’s largest fireworks show, at the Annual Big Bay Boom July 4 Fireworks Show fireworks are strategically placed on barges throughout the Port of San Diego for maximum sky coverage choreographed with music. The show lasts 17 minutes and begins at 9 p.m.

It’s an all-day affair at the 4th of July Celebration in Coronado. The day begins at 10 a.m. with a parade. and throughout the day, celebrants will be entertained by music, arts and crafts, a Navy Leap Frog demo, photos with Star Wars characters and more. The day closes with a fireworks display at 9 p.m.

Parades

If a traditional parade is what you seek, get your seats early for the Scripps Ranch 4th of July Parade at Scripps Ranch Hoyt Park or the Julian 4th of July Parade a little further out.

Theme Parks and Fairgrounds
