New Year’s Eve Fun

Fun Things to Do on New Year’s Eve

We have reached the end of 2020, so let’s say goodbye with fun and laughter and embrace what comes next with a hopeful outlook. As with all the other holidays of the year, creativity and flexibility are the keys to a successful celebration!

Cook or order a special meal. Either plan an elaborate menu that the entire family can help create or pick a favorite restaurant and have your meal delivered or picked up. Use your best dishes and dress up for a most formal and memorable evening.

Classic game night. This is the night to show your kids what games used to be! Think Uno, Yahtzee, charades and a good old-fashioned hours-long Monopoly challenge.

Watch (past) fireworks shows. This year enjoy fabulous fireworks shows from the comfort of your family room by streaming them directly to your smart TV or device. Some really great ones include London 2018’s show and the always classic Disney event.

Pop some bubbly. Bring out your fanciest glasses and fill them with the bubbly of your choice to toast a new glorious year! Options for all include champagne, prosecco, sparking water and juices – there is a fizzy beverage for everyone!

Northern Lights. If you’d like to venture outdoors, California Center for Arts in Escondido is hosting a spectacular light and music extravaganza that is free (or donation) and perfect for the family. Guests can wander the lighted walkways after sunset throughout the 12-acre campus. Be sure to check open times here before leaving the house.

If you are continuing your search for a new home, please know Cornerstone Communities is still building homes throughout the county of San Diego and Temecula. To see our homes, we are offering virtual tours on our website, you can chat with us online or we can schedule a private in-person appointment with you.
